As of yesterday, I have been admitted to practice in all federal courts in California—the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

This means, among other things, I can file* cases having to do with questions of federal law in these federal district courts. I can also file* cases between citizens of California and citizens of another state in federal court if the case is large enough. And, of course, I can file* maritime cases in federal court. It also means I can file* appeals to the Ninth Circuit.

* “File” also includes answering cases filed by another lawyer or pro se party.
